(About / Charger Automata)
At Charger Automata, we believe artificial intelligence is not simply another technology shift, it is the foundation of an entirely new operational era for business.
(01) Philosophy
Our philosophy is built around the idea that the businesses that win in the next decade will not be the ones with the biggest teams or the loudest brands, they will be the ones that build intelligent systems capable of learning, adapting, automating and scaling faster than traditional organisations ever could.
We approach AI as a layer that sits across the entire business ecosystem, customer acquisition, operations, workflows, communications, product development and decision making. The opportunity is no longer just digital transformation, it is autonomous transformation.

(02) Approach
At Charger Automata, we combine strategic thinking, systems architecture and advanced AI implementation to build businesses that operate with greater speed, precision and intelligence.
We are not interested in surface level automation or novelty driven AI experiences. We focus on creating deeply integrated systems that remove friction, reduce operational dependency and unlock entirely new ways for companies to scale.

(03) Experience
Our background across digital infrastructure, FinTech, MedTech and high growth online platforms gives us a practical understanding of how emerging technology can be operationalised in real businesses, not just theorised.
(04) Founder

Joel Maloney - Founder
I've always been drawn to identifying where digital behaviour, technology and business are heading next, then building practical solutions that turn those shifts into opportunity. My focus has never been innovation for the sake of it, it's about combining forward thinking ideas with strong execution and delivery.
I founded The Defectors, one of Australia's first dedicated social media agencies, at a time when brands were only beginning to understand the commercial power of digital communities and online engagement. We helped pioneer social-first marketing strategies for Australian businesses and built the agency into one of the country's early leaders in the space before I successfully sold the business in 2017.
In 2019, I founded Charger Agency, a digital transformation and technology agency focused on building advanced digital platforms, infrastructure and systems for FinTech and MedTech businesses. Through Charger, I've worked closely with ambitious companies to create scalable digital ecosystems, streamline operations and develop technology that delivers real commercial outcomes.
In 2020, I invested in Medmate and helped build the company's digital infrastructure, systems and patient experience platforms during a period of rapid growth. Working across strategy, technology and operations, I played a key role in helping scale the business into one of Australia's leading telehealth platforms.
Across every business I've built, my approach has been consistent, stay ahead of emerging trends, understand how technology can create leverage, and back vision with execution. I believe the real value in digital comes from turning complex ideas into systems, products and experiences that people genuinely use and businesses can scale.

(05) Orchestration
The future belongs to businesses that can orchestrate humans and AI together seamlessly.
The role of technology is no longer to simply support operations, it is becoming an active participant in them.
(06) Purpose
Charger Automata exists to help businesses move from static digital systems into intelligent operational ecosystems, where automation, AI agents, data and human expertise work together as one connected engine.
